Master Carlos in Texas

Live from Master Carlos Gracie’s seminar at the Woodlands.

Today’s seminar was outstanding! It was nice to meet with Professor Marcelo “Arroz”, and we had around 100 Gracie Barra students on the mats.

Master Carlos Gracie Jr. taught us some nice techniques from the guard, the first part of the class was focused in sport techniques and the second part was self defense/ mma.

The seminar was held at the Gracie Barra Woodlands School, and tomorrow we will be visiting the Gracie Barra Texas School.

Here are some pictures from today’s seminar, taken with our black berry device,  for you to enjoy:

Outside the Gracie Barra Woodlands School.

American Nationals 2009 – GB Interschool tournament update

We’re back from Cal State Dominguez Hills once again from a great tournament put on by the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation. It was a great honor to take 11 students to compete this weekend! Everyone gained a great deal of experience, for some it was their first time competing. There were great matches, several medals, and alot of spectacular jiu jitsu to watch and food to eat. Congratulations to everyone who competed and we’ll see you at the Gracie Barra Interschool Tournament in a few weeks! The kids and no gi competition will be Saturday 10/17 and all the adult gi competition will take place 10/18 Sunday!
