Judo Program Overview

Dear Judoka,
Thank you for your interest in our Judo Program. My name is Jason Bruce and I am one of the instructors of the Judo program here at Gracie Barra Corona. We are a USJA (United States Judo Association) certified club under the Kohaku Judo Academy. Our adult program is run by Sensei Nick Niakan a 5th degree black belt and assisted by me. I am a 2nd degree black belt. Our kids program is run by Sensei Ana Hankins 3rd degree black belt.
We teach under the USJA program which uses the White, Yellow, Green, Brown kyu ranks and then the 10 degree black belt ranks. We teach Judo in it's traditional form under the USJA curriculum and advance students when they are ready to test. We offer 2 adult classes per week Monday 5:30pm to 6:30pm and Thursday 6:00pm to 7:15pm. Kids train on Mon and Wed after school – times depend on age and skill level. The only other cost would be a Judo Gi which we can help you get. Other than that, there are no other class fees. If you choose to compete, you will need to join USJA and pay fees at the tournament.
